Mullein is one of the most versatile herbs found today. Mullein is mild-tasting and has gentle sedative properties.
Mullein is commonly available and can assist with a number of ailments such as easing an irritable cough or a sore throat, and is good for acute situations such as bronchitis and sinusitis, and can play a useful role in the management of asthma. It can be used to help people stop smoking and is said to clear and refresh the lungs even when smoked.
Mullein is high in iron, magnesium, potassium, and sulfur. It is considered the herb of choice for respiratory problems.
Mullein leaf has been used in traditional medicine as a relaxing expectorant for dry chronic coughs.
