Combined with its astringent, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic action it may aid with conditions as severe as bronchitis, pneumonia, trachetitis, laryngitis and asthma. The leaves may be smoked as a substitute to tobacco and with their fluffy coverings may still aid lung problems.
