Description: Native tribes in South America know pau d’arco as a “cure-all” remedy and have
used it to treat varies infections, including intestinal inflammation, dysentery, wounds, snake bites and certain cancers. Today, it is mainly valued due to its antimicrobial action aiding with infections of all sorts (bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic), in particular candida albicans (thrush), staphylococcus aureus, Helicobacter pylori (stomach ulcers), the flu and ringworm.
Its anti-inflammatory properties can relieve inflammatory conditions of the prostate and the digestive and genitourinary tract. Some research suggests that it could be a remedy in cancer therapy.
