Action: Nervine, tonic, mild sedative, antispasmodic, diaphoretic, stimulates bile secretion, mildly bitter. Vervain is a known relaxant, helps to relieve pain and tension. It is also used for headaches associated with periods and nervous exhaustion.
Description: Vervain is known as the sacred herb known to remedy mental stress and over exertion with related insomnia. As a tea, Vervain can be drank on its own or mixed with our other herbs to get a calming and soothing feel.
Vervain can be particularly helpful for diabetes to assist in regulating blood sugar levels; this can also be helpful for people trying to lose weight, and it plays well with herbs like licorice root for this purpose.
Vervain strengthens the nervous system whilst relaxing tension and stress. It is used in the treatment of depression and melancholia, particularly following a debilitating illness.
