💡 Fun Fact:
Aniseed has been used since ancient Egypt, not only for flavour but also for its digestive and calming properties — making it as functional as it is delicious. It was also so highly prized in Ancient Rome, that Emperor Nero once taxed it specifically, as it was used to flavour the lavish cakes served at feasts

🫖 Shed Pairings:

·        Pair with Fennel Seed for digestive teas and spice blends

·        Combine with Cinnamon & Cloves in mulled wines or festive bakes

·        Blend with Ginger Root & Licorice Root in soothing tonics

·        Add to Wild Rice pilafs for a subtle licorice lift

·        Stir into Quinoa puddings with coconut sugar for dessert flair

·        Mix with Damiana or Peppermint in herbal tea rituals

📖How to Use:

Tea: Steep 1–2 tsp crushed seed in hot water for 5–10 minutes. Drink after meals to support digestion or before bed to relax. Enjoy warm or cooled.

Blends: Combine with fennel, caraway, ginger, or peppermint in digestive teas, or with chamomile and lemon balm for calming blends.

Culinary: Use in baking (breads, cookies), soups, or as a spice for chutneys, meat dishes, and liqueurs. Classic in biscotti and sambuca.

Topical: Use infusion as a skin rinse or compress. Mildly antiseptic and skin-softening.

Pets: Dogs may be drawn to anise — use sparingly in treats or scent games. Avoid use in cats. Consult a vet before using in animals.
